I've collected a range of cowboy-esque clothes to refer to when designing my characters. I want the western, cowboy feel to come across more as an influence than the main theme of my designs, so I'll be mixing in modern kinds of clothing and possibly some ideas from MCR's Danger Days that I blogged about a while ago.

A lot of these images are influenced by the cowboy theme than actual accurate depictions on the past which I am aware of. I think that idealisations of this theme will better help me to incorporate it into my designs anyway, and will also give me more ideas where details and layers are concerned.
