BBC Influence

Notes from BBC to maybe implement;

"- make sure style doesn't impose itself too much on character and story - squash + stretch etc used w/o distracting for Simpsons. ---------------->" we don't want the animation to stop the audience from listening properly - the more exaggerated and stupid it is, the less attention might be paid to the narration.

YOU MUST LOVE YOUR CHARACTERS -if you don't love them why should anybody else.

"Youtube is where their audience is going. British productions getting more money. Not sure how long Broadcasts will last" - using the internet as a place to show animations is more popular, and would be very good for us as it is easier to create and show self-published things, even though the whole marketing, getting an audience and obviously not getting paid is an issue, but if we are considering this as an episodic place, YouTube would be a great platform for this.

"Easier to sell preschool things because toys." Mascots, cute things, simple designs that could sell well if this was to become something bigger, since toys obviously generate a lot of profit.

" ALL ABOUT CHARS + RELATIONSHIPS. Spongebob v popular b/c character driven comedy." Make the characters interesting and likeable - we seem to have very positive feedback so far about our characters, including the script; Cake Man has a lot of personality and how he acts with Johnny and we have had a lot of people commenting on how they enjoyed that, so I think that we are okay there.
